Our Cannon

This is from Numbers 13, and I have re-wrote it to fit my story, where God has called us.

The Lord said to Ben & Rachael "Go and explore the land of Milledgeville, which I am giving to you. So at the LORD's command Ben & Rachael went out from Michigan to see if this is really the land that God has called them to.

While there they visited with many people.

They drove around downtown and saw the collage students around downtown, who are diving in trying to find their purpose.

They drove thru the South side of town, where poverty is huge, and racial tension is not a thing of the past.

They hung out with family and friends and realized, people are broken. The Church has had so many failures that people have forgotten what it is like to rely on God, and not put man on a pedestal.

They drove thru the hills of the country and drove silent as it was getting immanent that God was sending them to this region.

Broken homes, broken families were all abound.

1/2 will not graduate in this land.

The amount of fatherless is heart wrenching.

The county here contributes the most in lottery playing, which shows us that people are putting their hope in things that are here on earth, and not our Father in heaven.

Ben & Rachael drove around looking for buildings, and dreaming of what could be. Terrified out of their mind they headed back up I-75 to a place where friends abound, dreams have been fu-filled and life was rich.

Reality and the weight set in. Goodbyes are awful.

God gave them the land. He gave them a building. He gave them a house.

They prayed God would send who they needed.

When God sent them to explore Milledgeville, he said, See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many. What kind of land do they live in? Is it good or bad? What kind of towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified? How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees on it or not?

They came back to Michigan and the whole community at The Freedom Center was waiting. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land.

They gave this account: "We went into the land to which God has sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. They are hurting and without Hope. They are fatherless and don't know the great father.

"We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it with the Lord's help."

What do you need to go take possession of today ? Is it your finances, your marriage, or your relationship with the Lord ? I'm sure whatever it is is flowing with milk and honey and you can take possession.

Rachael, I miss your strength and fortitude. Keep fighting the good fight and continue to be blessed by Him. Dont let the enemy get even one inch in your lives or hearts or thoughts! Sharkboy is healed because you and Ben are faithful! Satan's hands are bound in Jesus name from bringing sickness or discouragement into your house. I love you! Miss you much and tell the family I said hi.
